OBLIVION is a work built in response to the endeavour of Bunting to save the Irish Harp from extinction, thus giving us the 66 tracks, lilts and airs of Irish Traditional Harp which saved the music for future generations and became an intrinsic part of our Irish Cultural Identity.

Using the existing scores, Barry is collaborating with RIIT to create a new contemporary electro pop sound installation inspired by the now collective and universal feeling of impending doom that we humans face as a species. Oblivion is a call to arms for this collective of artists as they conceptually ask, what is the Role of Art & Artists at a time of great uncertainty, environmental collapse and the prospect of a world of ruin if we do noting at all?

Oblivion will be a multi sound, multi disciplined, multimedia manifestation created by Barry with her collaborators, who will preform this work as a haunting call to arms.
