Self Portrait is a nine channel moving image installation with 9 channel sound presented an 9 identical wall mounted monitors.
Hung in a system of landscape and portrait modes the installation calls to mind the zoom architecture of pandemic communication where the lines between public and private space get blurred. Eyes, mouths, feet, hands, backs, torsos and rears feature in this claustrophobic cacophony of the confined body.
The work is made in collaboration with composer and sound designer Stephen Shannon.
